The Arrival of the Princess

Post by Angel Eyes on Sun Jul 25, 2010 9:56 pm

A long stretch black limo pulled up outside of the Inn rolling to a stop, perfectly so that the back door at the end of the long vehicle was aligned perfectly for the one inside, no extra effort on the passenger’s part. Once the vehicle stopped moving the car was placed into park and keys were taken out of the ignition, he had learnt the hard way how quick those car hijackers were, and hat was being straightened upon his head. Gloved hand would stretch out, and pull open the door, standing stock still, except for the small smile that touched his lips as his young charge descended out of the limo. A small fluff of hair was given before her hand went to her sides. After the young delicate girl, a mousy looking woman got out of the car, if one looked at how she was dressed it was rather obvious by the black dress with the apron, and the white cap upon her head, her hair was pulled back into a severe bun, that she was a maid. Not just any maid but the young girls personal maid. Once the two females were out of the car doors way, the man would move to close the door, instead of going back to the car to move it, he rushed up to the Inn’s door. Pulling it open, before bending at the waist, and a motion with the other hand for the young miss and maid to enter.

The young girl went first, the chocolate locks of hers were rather bouncy with every step, today she had wore her hair down. Mother absolutely hated when she did that, it was not what one of breeding would do, and it was a small strike out to her. How dare her parents tell her she could not stay at the house while they were away. If her brother wouldn’t of thrown that party and blamed her. Oh she was still boiling over that. She hadn’t gotten into trouble, she never got into trouble, she just had to bat those long curly lashes at daddy and all was taken care of. But this might have been worse! It wasn’t that she wasn’t going to be pampered, they made sure that all the servants would still wait on her hand and food…in fact they would be coming and going form the Inn, save for the maid, Molly. Miss Molly, was stuck on duty to be at her young Mistresses beck and call. It was a well paying gig, so she wouldn’t be complainin’ at least no where that someone might hear her. Did not want to be called ungrateful, and it would be rather embarrassing to be fired by a mere slip of a girl.

The man that had held the door open, walked quickly in front of the two, once they were inside. He, followed by the pair, the maid walking three steps behind the girl, made their way to the front desk. Seeing the bell he would ring it, before standing primly. The young girl was looking at the freshly painted nails on her right hand, palm up fingers bent, lips twisting a bit as she studied the job. The maid, stayed a step behind the young charge, her head looking down.

Desk duty. Aiden absolutely hated desk duty. The guy hated work on a general basis but seriously standing all day behind a desk had to be about the most boring job the guy had ever done in his life. If that was the case though, then why was he doing it? Easy. Revenge. When it came to holding grudging Aiden could go at it with the best of them - the guy had a memory like an elephant and right now he was putting it to use in what he termed 'passive annoyance'. To fully understand, it went something like this: The guy was still annoyed with a certain wolf and a bowl of killer chili so in retaliation he decided to be annoying as he possibly could.

Step one was lurking around in the wolf's domain which just so happened to be the front desk. And holy crow it was more boring than watching dew form on a blade of grass. Who knew, huh? The place was a ghost town during this time of the day so if anyone did happen to stroll around they would get a good view of Aiden tipped back in the chair behind the desk with his feet propped on it and an open book in hand. Surprisingly it wasn't the ledger. He'd already seen it and aside from his sister's colorful additions what was there really to read in it? Nothing. Nada. The book was about as boring as the desk watching job so Aiden had brought his own entertainment.

Just what does a half vampire consider entertaining? Well let's just say what he was reading was about as much company material as a guy who talks out loud during a movie. It wasn't like there was anyone there to catch him reading such a thing anyway. Bleeding hell, did people just disappear around the place during the day or what?

That theory went down the toilet about ten seconds later when the front door opened. It looked like there was finally going to be someone else around the place at last, but did Aiden give them a warm welcome like any good desk watcher should? Hardly. The book he'd been reading was lowered just enough for his black gaze to look overtop of it. A man, a girl, and a woman bringing up the rear who was obviously a servant. Rich people. Great, just great. Taking pains to at least play nice Aiden called out in a bored sounding voice "Can I help you?"

Re: The Arrival of the Princess

Post by Angel Eyes on Mon Jul 26, 2010 8:24 pm

When the man at the counter popped up, not a word was spoken from the young girl, there wasn’t even a flicker of attention given. Nothing changed not the speed of her heart, not a lash that wasn’t already in mid blink from natural causes, not a intake of breath or a release of breath that wasn’t completely done without out thought. The maid on the other hand, looked up she might remind the man behind the desk of a mouse, for she was peering at him, and then looking to the man, the chauffeur was more in charge and the maid knew to respond not speak unless spoken to. The man would handle things. Everyone called him Engelbert but she wasn’t sure what his real name was or if that was his first or his last. The maid was to timid to ask, the girl could care less, as long as he did what was expected of him, she did not give him much thought.

The chauffeur, Engelbert would look to the man, he almost sniffed. If he would of known the man’s thoughts he would of, rich? Hardly was he rich, he was just making his way in the world, serving those that had more money then King Midas. The man, when he spoke had something that back on Earth they would of called it a English accent, but they were not from Earth and why that sound came out, he would never know. Could the man help him, hazel eyes looking over the man, almost as if debating if the man could help them. Well he was behind the desk. The way he was taking to answer, would cause the first noise from the young lady, where she cleared her throat. She wasn’t one whom liked to be kept waiting and Engelbert knew that. The clearing of her throat was the first warning sign. It was enough to get the man to speak. “We are in need of a suite of rooms. Can you help with that?” The man did not trust others so easily, not when if something was not to his employer’s satisfaction he could end up on the park bench.

The limo was still outside, if the man behind the desk looked up he would see the black vehicle , Engelbert was not planning on moving the car until Molly and the little missus luggage was all inside the Inn in the rooms that they were securing.

Re: The Arrival of the Princess

Post by Aiden on Wed Jul 28, 2010 12:39 am

Well la-de-dah. That was the single most thought going through Aiden's mind as he eyeballed this group. It was painfully obvious the girl in the middle was the rich one simply from the way the other two were surrounding her. It was either that or she was carrying the One Ring and stopping off on her way to Mordor. That thought caused Aiden to snicker and nearly fall backwards off his perch. Oh the fodder he could come up with from these people! It was almost a shame the guy wasn't a mind reader because Aiden had a million of them.

At any rate Aiden didn't do rich. It had nothing to do with them, cause how could it when they had just arrived?, rather stemmed somewhere from a childhood with a quote, unquote treasure hunter. He snorted and leaned back in his chair, arms pinwheeling for a painfully long moment before the front legs of the chair slammed back onto the floor again. Could he help them? Well that would depend right there. Aiden never did anything without getting something in return. Unless it was for family - see, the guy had a soft spot somewhere. If mentioned however Aiden would blame said soft spot completely on too many Pip-pouncing's over the years. It gave the guy brain damage or something. That was his story at least and he was sticking to it!

So . . . could he help them? If he had to he could and seeing as how he was lurking around the desk it looked like he could. Tossing his book aside for later he reached under the desk to grab the ledger. "Let's see here . . ." When Aiden spoke it wasn't with a descendible accent of any kind yet he managed to drawl out the words and sound utterly bored while doing it. He made a 'hmm'ing noise as he flipped through the pages before finally stopping. "Looks like one's left. Ya'll want it?"

Re: The Arrival of the Princess

She wasn’t rich, she was just very good at spending daddy’s money, and he was very good at letting his little princess do such. It wasn’t her fault she was born with a platinum diamond encrusted spoon in her mouth. Nor was it her fault that she treated her servants how she had, how she had been trained from birth, just as how they reacted to her. Some were rather cruel to their servants that was not something that was said about her or her family. Was she spoiled, obviously, just as she was a brat and she was used to getting her way. In recent memory her checking into this Inn here, a few days before her sweet sixteen, was the only time she hadn’t gotten exactly what she wanted. Not getting what one wanted left a bitter taste in ones mouth, and mommy and daddy better make up for it, with a grand gesture or there would be no pleasing the littlest princess.

If one was a treasure hunter, quote unquote, then they weren’t really rich were they? They were looking for someone that was. It wasn’t the rich persons fault that others wished to saddle up to them, to try to get gains for themselves, perhaps that’s why people had to be careful whom they let in. Close friends you could count on a hand, acquaintances there were plenty, actually having so much money was a bit lonely. Not that the girl that had two servants of her very own at the moment would say such. Never. She would rather eat worms. And those were not a delicacy, so they did not pass through her lips.

The girl still hadn’t lifted her head to brush her gaze over the man. The only reason she knew it was man that was checking them in was the timbre of his voice. If it was a female she had a rather deep voice. Pushing down the impulse to reply with her own bored tone the girl said nothing. She didn’t have to because the maid was giving a nod of her head. She happened to think the guy behind the counter was cute, but she wasn’t about to say anything, especially not while she was on duty. Now if she ever was off duty and came across him…well it wasn’t her place to let her thoughts float around, what sort of model would she be for the young girl. As her thoughts were coming in she would give herself a mental shake. Thankfully Englebert was there, and he spoke up. “Yes. We will take that. Thank you.” He would wait to see the next step. Some places handed you a key. Some took you to the room. Some had you sign. Some had other odd things, and he was not familiar with the policies here, he would wait.

Rich, smich. So her father gave her anything and everything under the sun she wanted. That made her spoiled and . . Aiden was going to stop right there because he was supposed to be playing nice. Unfortunately Aiden's version of nice was a hellavua far cry away from what anyone else would consider nice. Plus with three heartbeats now in the room he was starting to feel a bit hungry and hunger and being faux nice equaled out to one cranky half vampire. So, treasures hunters weren't really rich? Someone should tell Aiden's mother! Although, all things considered, it might be better to yell it at her from a far distance away . . .

Nobody likes me, everybody hates me, think I'll go eat worms. Bite their heads off, suck their guts out, throw their skins away . . . Nobody likes me, everybody hates me . . . Like the song stated worms could be considered a delicacy depending on which places one visited. Aiden had never actually had the pleasure of eating a worm but he had heard they were a good source of protein.

Aiden as a female was a seriously messed up thought. Could you picture it? Standing just under six foot tall with messy white-blonde hair and alluring black eyes and perfect pale skin Aiden was one smokin' hot guy if he did say so himself but him as a chick? Even he wasn't crazy enough to think of the possibilities of that one.

Yes! They wanted the room and Aiden was willing to thank any deities that were willing to listen. Holding the ledger open to the page he plopped it down in front of the guy with a thunk. "Sign on the line." After he got the signature then he would give up the key. Maybe. Never know - the thought of holding onto it for some extra cash was a tempting one . . .

That made her daddy’s little princess. Even her siblings knew she was the favored child. It happened she was the youngest, and had been doted on. When the man behind the counter said to sign here, her head lifted upwards, her gaze would not look at the one behind the desks eyes. Perhaps she had a thing about eyes, or maybe she had a thing about the help, either way that was how that went. Vampires were something that were new to her, so perhaps it was best she wasn’t looking at him, though she did realize he was a man, and not a female. Took away the guess work. Eyes would cut away, almost as if she was bored, looking to her nails once more.

The maid was watching the man behind the counter though, she made no hiding of it, for she was standing behind her mistress and it was easier to look straight ahead wasn’t it?

Englebert would nod his head as he looked to the man behind the counter. Hand would stretch out for the pen and he would scratch his name upon the paper. As he wasn’t the one staying here he might not be the right one to sign. But the girl was a minor and he was on call with the limo, so it worked. After signing his name he handed the pen back to the man. And waited. He could keep them standing in the lobby for a while, it was the outside of the Inn that was rather inaccessible until they were situated in the suite.

Play nice. Play nice. Play ni- aw, screw it already. In Aiden's personal set of rules number 509 clearly stated that 'if you couldn't play nice then it was time to go to a new tactic' and Aiden was reaching the end of his playing nice rope.

This switching of tactics was almost like flipping a switch backwards and manifested as a slow sanguine smirk taking over Aiden's features - it was his trademark smile, the one that hid his fangs until it was too late to escape them. Was he thinking of feeding on this group? It was a tempting possibility made stronger every minute more they stood there. If vampires were something new to this girl then she'd better be careful because Aiden was a breed unto himself and not everyone liked playing with the mice before eating them.

Speaking of mice . . . since she was looking at him Aiden aimed his devilish smirk in her direction and let his alluring black eyes roam over the woman. She was lucky. Aiden may enjoy playing with mice, but he did not eat them - literally or humanly.

The guy had signed the book and the half-vampire's gaze shifted off the woman and back on the book. Sucker. Aiden had never signed it when he moved in. Just because he followed his own set of rules didn't mean he followed others. That was the reason why what he was about to do next shouldn't have came as a surprise to anyone. Pulling the book back he shoved it back where he'd snatched it from and turned his attention to the basket of keys. It was no work to find the one he wanted and when he had he held it up for the guy to see, right out of reach.

"Now that you have signed the book there is the matter of the five gold charge payment that must be handled before I'm allowed to give you the key." All was said with the bored-sounding drawl from earlier and more impressively - a straight face. Boy, the guy would be good at poker.

The maid, we are going to start with her, because she might look like a mouse of a woman, but was it just a ploy? When the man behind the counter took her in, he would see the first bold move from the woman, her gaze which might of normally darted away as it was suppose too, but did not. Instead blue eyes, startling blue, would take in the man behind the counter, knowing full well he would know what she was doing. As her gaze took in the man behind the counter, the corner of her lips would start to curl upwards, if either the man or the girl looked back she would resort to her normal mousy composure. Even when the man started to speak about other things and look away from her, she still was taking him in, did she know what he was? Did she care about him being such?

The girl was growing rather bored, this checking in bit was taking forever, seriously a monkey could have had them checked in and shown to their rooms by now. She had actually seen a monkey that checked people in, wore a cute little red vest and a shriners hat with a gold tassel. But those thoughts were not spoken out, the guy behind the counter was not given much of her attention, for now. Instead she made a show of checking her finger nails, a small eek would escape. “There’s a chip!” Fingers were held out wrist bent upwards at a bit of a angle as she held out her hand at arms length examining to see if there were any more chips or imperfections.

Engelbert his face never changed, except for the lift of his brow, as if he was waiting for the man to say he was joking. “Are you so lacking in funds that you have to try to swindle…” It was then that the girl spoke up, giving a small shrug of her shoulders, because she was done waiting. “Engelbert just give the man what he wants its that not much. I need to get into the room so I can fix my nail.” To the young girl getting her nail fixed was more important then five gold.

Re: The Arrival of the Princess

Post by Aiden on Sun Aug 08, 2010 11:12 pm

In Aiden's opinion the mousy maid went up a few notches with her bold move of eyeing him up. It showed initiative and Aiden liked that. A Lot. Those startling blue eyes weren't bad either. Black eyes met blue and the smirk grew wider until it was impossible to hide the mismatched fangs of ivory and gold peeking over his bottom lip. So much for keeping things mysterious but Aiden and subtle went together like oil and water. Besides the guy was proud of what he was so what point was there in hiding it anyway? Mousy, that was what he had mentally named her for now, might even enjoy it.

If the girl wanted shown to her rooms then she better be getting out and finding a monkey because Aiden wasn't about to be doing any of that. Heck, they should consider themselves lucky that the guy was checking them in at all. Aside from the entertainment he was getting from Mousy the rest of the group were boring with a capital B. There was more entertainment in the book he had been reading.

A chipped nail? She had to be freaking kidding him. It took a heck of a lot of willpower not to roll his alluring black eyes at her. Teenagers, supposed to love them, had to hate 'em. Now Aiden wasn't that old himself, hell the guy barely knew how old he actually was, but he couldn't stand teenagers, especially the girls. He'd been there and done that once before, thank you very much, and had no intentions of going through that again. So the girl and the chipped nail were promptly ignored.

When it came to money Aiden never joked, especially when the target had caught on as fast as this guy. It was time to change tactics again and Aiden's features morphed from a smirk into one of barely controlled outrage. "Swindle!? I do not swindle . . ." Well, well, well . . it looked like the girl was good for something after all. Aiden turned the smirk back on so fast it was shocking he didn't get whiplash. "You heard the lady." After he got the gold he would hand off the key and then what? Those black eyes of his raked over the guy, the girl, and lingered on the maid a second longer than the others before he imparted possibly the nicest thing he'd said to them: "Dinner's at 6 around here if ya'll hungry."

Re: The Arrival of the Princess

You know what they say about the quiet ones right? That they are quiet. And the maid was good at being quiet but she had that other side to her, the side that those she worked with and for didn't know about. She also had a bit of a weakness, and when the man behind the desk smirked he might of seen a twinkle enter those startling blue eyes. They had narrowed in right on his mismatched fangs of gold and ivory. She did not miss much. In fact she grinned, right before the man looked back at the maid. Englebert almost caught her smiling at the guy behind the desk, her head would lowered almost instantly. She did not need him to tell her employer that she was a bad influence on the girl.

Englebert huffed as he looked at the girl. "Now Natasha, this man..." He was trying to explain why they shouldn't give the man money, but the girl held up her hand, she did not want excuses. "Englebert are you questioning me?" The tone in her voice could of frozen a still sizzling egg. She did not like to be questioned. She hated even more to be questioned by the staff. She wanted to be in the room before her sweet sixteen birthday. He blinked and a small mumble would start to escape which was cut off with one lift of the girl's brow. He plucked out the five gold from his pocket and handed it to the man, exchanging it for the key. Upon looking at the key the number was upon it thankfully. "Thank you." He would look to Natasha and the maid.

"Natasha let's get you settled in." She wasn't going to complain about that, she wanted to be shown her room. Then the man's gaze went to the maid. "You stay down here to keep a eye on the car." The maid gave a nod of her head she wanted to stay down here anyways the man behind the counter was....interesting.

The girl would walk towards the stairs a step behind Englebert, it was one of those rare times she let him go ahead of her, seeing neither knew where they were going. She knew once they found the room for her and the maid, that he would go and bring in the luggage, and then she could get situated.

The maid whom stayed behind cast a glance outside nothing was happening to the limo before she looked to the man behind the counter, though she did not move closer for she had a good view of the car from where she was. "Are you going to be there at six?" Her voice came out it wasn't high pitched it was more sultry then what one might expect to come out of her. She gave him a little grin, even as her hands moved to the white apron on her maids outfit, tugging it down near the lace that outlined it.

Ah, you always had to love the quiet ones. Aiden was certainly enjoying this whole submission act the maid had going on too. Oh yes, he had caught that twinkle in her eyes and that grin before both were hidden by her lowered head again. Mmm . . there was nothing as fun as watching someone be good when you really knew they wanted to be bad. If the other guy and the girl hadn't been there Aiden would have licked his lips, hopped over that desk and . . . blast it, there he went again, cooking up fantasies that left him more than a little annoyed with reality.

What were they talking about? During his little trip into fantasy land Aiden had all but checked out on the conversation around him and in the process completely missed the talk between the guy and the girl. All that really sunk in was that he'd gotten his money, haha what a sucker!, and the guy had ended up with the room key. It was delicious, utterly delicious, and on top of all that they were leaving and the object of his interest was remaining behind! If Aiden was a religious person at all he would have started thanking deities or something, but as it was he suppressed the urge to break into mad, cackling laughter. Could this moment get any better? Unless the maid was suddenly going to offer herself up after they left - now that was a fantasy - Aiden didn't think so. Still, the guy was happier than a wolf presented with a lamb.

Wolf. It dawned on Aiden in that moment that he'd been here some time now, behind this desk and yet the she-wolf had yet to make an appearance. He'd even played around with her precious Ledger, as well as anything else back there he could get his hands on, and still nothing. What fun was there un passively annoying someone if they didn't show up to be annoyed in the first place? Her absence just proved that in the end wolves were nothing more than talk and no bite.

Speaking of bite . . . He let his gaze and thoughts drift back to the maid. Now that he had her all to himself he let his gaze slowly slide down that uniformed outfit. Delicious. The sultry voice caused him to grin even wider and let out a growl of pleasure. Oh yes, this was one he wasn't about to let get away. "I never miss dinner." He was thinking of it already.

Just because one was good at being submissive didn’t mean that they didn’t have a fire in them. The little maid had plenty of fire, if one got close enough to uncover that side of her. She had those she worked for and with fooled for they would of never guessed . Once the man and the girl were gone, she lifted her head again, a smile touching those lips. It was those words, that he never missed dinner, that she would let her startling blue gaze size him up once more. She would glance out the door, not that she thought the neighborhood was bad, and hopefully nothing happened near the limo because she wanted to put her attention on the man before her. When she looked back to the man, she spoke softly, because she did not want to get caught by the Butler. He was a snob. It was funny that she thought Englebert was more stuck up then the girl she was here with. Chaperon/maid. That was her. Now she was not always forward, but she had to be this one time, because he said he didn’t miss dinner. That was something was it not? “I will have to make sure to make it….but just in case I can not get away….” She let her words trail off a moment, “Do you have plans after ten tonight?” Her young charge was the sort that went to bed at ten on the dot she wanted her beauty sleep and had a full thing she did a routine. In a way she was offering herself up on a silver platter, she saw the teeth, and she still asked about what he was doing at night.

Englebert came down the stairs, looking at the maid, he saw her speaking to the man, but figured she was just getting the ways of the Inn. He saw her glance towards the limo that was her job, and he was satisfied. He went to the Limo to get the suitcases, it would take at least two trips, because the maid only had a case and a small one but the girl had a huge set of matching luggage. Taking the maids bags first Englebert made his way to the stairs, leaving the rest in the car. Which he would come down and make the necessary trips not disturbing the maid speaking to the man behind the counter.

Upstairs in the suite, Natasha was looking around, figuring out what was going where and deciding which room was going to be hers. When Englebert got the luggage upstairs she would direct where it would go.

Maid of the inner fire meet Aiden the fire starter. When it came to submissive people there was always a hidden layer of fire so to speak, a wild side that yearned to break free and take control and Aiden absolutely loved seeing it happen. There was just something undoubtedly pleasurable about watching it that was downright sinful. As for her eyeing him up again once the other two were gone? Aiden let her and even struck a bit of a pose back there behind that desk. If ya got it, ya might as well flaunt it! Besides it gave Aiden plenty of time to eye her over again too and wonder what she'd look like with her hair let loose from that bun. Long hair got in the way of the neck, but Aiden had never objected to the act of sweeping it aside. Aiden didn't object to much in all actuality, if he saw something he want that's what he went after and nothing was going to stand in his way.

He found her staying where she could see the car amusing. "Ya know, I have yet to see anyone steal a car around here. Especially something as inconspicuous as that." It was a helluva good thing the maid didn't know him from his youth because boy he was calling the kettle black. But in his defense how could you pass up a sleek, shiny black sports car like that when it was never even used? You couldn't and to this day Aiden still didn't understand why his father kept the thing when he never drove it. Wasn't that kinda the whole point with cars?

By the time the butler returned downstairs there would be nothing going on to see. Aiden had heard the coming long before he'd gotten far enough down the steps to see them and had dropped his pose like it was hot only to now lean slightly forward on the desk, contemplating. He had told the woman when dinner was for a specify reason and vanity, thy name be Aiden, the thought had never occurred to him that she wouldn't be able to get away. Hmm . . . well didn't think just put a kink into his plans? Waiting until six was going to require a pre-meal snack, but ten? Ten was going to require a pre-meal meal. As he thought about all this Aiden was staring long and hard at the maid until finally he grinned once more. "It seems I'm free after ten this evening after all." She may not end up as dinner, but there was always room for dessert. The question now was, would this maid with the inner fire actually show up?

That could be a dangerous a fire starter with a fire waiting to happen. It could also be dangerous waking up that side of her. Not that that side didn’t come out at times when she wasn’t in the public eye. But those times were few and far between and never with someone that she would see again. The tight knit group of girls she had grown up with had all scattered, all gotten jobs in different areas and not kept in touch. She was the sort that did shy away yet she wasn’t shying away from him, she had been bold with her gaze and did not mind his. He wasn’t the lord of the manor, he wasn’t one that she had to hide from, there was nothing wrong with it. If he met her later there was a good chance he could see her with her hair loose. Not all tucked up and hidden.

It would be a grin that was shot at the man behind the counter. “Well…it would be my luck something would happen to that one … and if something did I wouldn’t be able to meet you tonight.” A small almost pout yet not fully formed, “And I do wish to meet you.” Her lips turned into a grin. If anything happened to the vehicle Englebert would not think twice about putting the maids neck on the line. It wasn’t that things couldn’t be replaced, and pretty much the young girls stuff would be shortly, but she couldn’t be remiss in her duties.

Once Englebert was done with the packages he came back downstairs and looked to the maid. “Natasha asked for a few more moments before you come up. She’s still debating on which room she wishes.” He thought it was rather silly she would take time, they all knew the girl would take the biggest of the two rooms. He sniffed, not because he was sick but because he felt it all trifle. “If you need me, call. Otherwise I will be back tomorrow to check in and see if Miss Natasha has anything she needs of me.” With that Englebert slipped out of the Inn, and shortly after that the long black limo was gone.

Natasha up in the suite had decided what was going where and was busy taking care of her clothing. She was not looking forward to spending her birthday here. Her birthday was only a few days away yet her parents could not of waited. Why couldn’t they wait until August 1st? Did they not care that the littlest princess of them all of the fold was turning sweet sixteen? She was wondering how to get out of having to be watched by the maid, she knew that was one of the reasons she had a maid, was to keep a eye on Natasha.

Meanwhile downstairs the maid looked back to the man behind the counter. “What time is it now?” She had not a watch on her wrist, nor did she own a cell phone, she was an old fashioned sort of girl. Surely there would be a clock in the suite but she was anxious. Her mind was debating if she had brought any other clothing, though it would depend on if the girl was with her or not, for the six o’clock eating time, on if she could wear something other then her maids uniform. She had a few different black and white maid uniforms. Depending on what work she was to be doing that day.

Never let it be said that Aiden didn't enjoy flirting with danger, especially when it was standing just a few feet away from him. As he stared at her the thoughts of what she would look like with her hair loose and down about her shoulders was joined with ones about whether or not she owned anything that wasn't a maid's uniform. Not that the uniform was bad or anything, but hey, it just wasn't doing it for Aiden and the guy had one helluva imaginative fantasy life.

The guy would put the maid's life on the line for a car? If Aiden knew that he would have rolled his eyes and nearly died of laughter because to him, it would be utterly stupid. A car was just a thing and one Aiden actually had little to do with. Yeah, he was more than guilty of stealing the aforementioned sleek, jet black sports car of his father, but hey, who didn't have the urge to go out and steal a car once or twice in their life? As for the car? If anyone so much as touched it they would have a pissed off Aiden to deal with if only for the reason that it would interrupt the moment.

Speaking of interruptions . . the guy had came back downstairs again to which Aiden managed to stop trying to drill a hole through the maid with his eyes, sit up, and eavesdrop on their convo. It was the easiest way to get information and perhaps this time he would even get to hear the maid's name. Hmm . . all this preparations for a snack must be making Aiden delirious because he had never once wondered about naming his potential snacks. Unfortunately for him he didn't get to hear a name for the maid, so until he found the real one, and perhaps even after, he would stick with Mousy.

Birthday's. Who needed them? Aiden had a birth date of sometime or another, but he had lost track of what it was years ago, but for him that was okay. What'd he need it for anyway? It wasn't like there was people going around asking 'Hey, where's your birthday?' Well, not to him at least. Looks like they didn't ask the girl's parents that question either, or why else would they have dumped her at an inn like this?

The maid and Aiden could be kindred spirits and not know it. Like her he didn't own a watch or cell phone, in fact the only device of modern technology he owned was that green iPod he had tucked away in his pocket. He didn't need a water or anything like it however, because years of growing up outside had taught him to track the sun across the sky and it was a heck of a more reliable telling of the time than the watch could provide. Angling his head so he could see out through the windows, good luck getting him any closer to them, he studied the sky. After a moment he looked up with a thoughtful look as he did the calculations.

"I'd say it's going on four." Well that explained why he was feeling peckish. The sun would be down in a few more hours and then it was his turn to play outside. Even with the tempting maid standing between the door and him Aiden found he was still looking forward to going out. The guy had cabin fever bad. How anyone could resist being outside when they could go anytime they wanted just bugged the crap out of the guy and . . ahem, he was getting off the point. "If you do not mind I believe ten would be better for meeting than during the evening meal." Because he was certainly going to need a meal between now and perhaps a shower after, if only to give him time to get his head screwed back on tighter. It took more focus than you'd think to pursue a snack. Besides, aside from Aiden's personal needs, later was better than sooner for the sheer fact that there was a better chance he would wind up with the maid all to himself.

Danger? Little ole her dangerous? That was just silly. She was a good girl...for the most part. Depending on the young mistress maybe she would be able to wear something else when she crept down to see him later. It might sound funny that a grown woman was going to be sneaking around, but she was one of those people that were on the clock, twenty four seven. The young miss wasn't as hard as the others so she did not see a problem with the arranged meeting. Sometimes one only had a imaginative fantasy to live in. That could always change though.

Indeed the man would sell out the maid for the car. Thankfully nothing happened and he was gone. One if they paid attention would see the way she sort of relaxed a bit, though not to visible for she was still on the clock and she could be called on at any time. The maid had a name it just wasn't used often. Not that she was complaining about that, she knew her place.

She would turn a smile upon Aiden. "Ten. Where do you want to meet at?" She did not know if he wished to meet in the dining area, the lobby or elsewhere. And being her first night here she didn't want to miss this. She wouldn't know what the young misses plans were but once she found out she would be able to figure out her night. If she was to be taken off duty for the night she would have plenty of time to prepare to meet the man later, if she wasn't she would just have to show up as she was. Her mind was moving in that direction, sometimes when they first got settled somewhere she would get the rest of the day off, because the young miss took her time getting situated. Mentally she was going over everything she had packed with her, which wasn't much else except for work uniforms and perhaps she had thought to bring...a quick question. "Is there a dress code?" For dinner you know, or rather the after dinner, so it would be what they were meeting for desert? Interesting.

Up in her room the young girl was putting away every article of clothing, if it was something that was to be hung she would shake it out first before hanging them. The undergarments were put in the drawer, her mind was going over her evening and what plans she had, not that she knew anyone but one did not need people for what she planned.

You know what they say . . . the good girls go bad, or something like that and with Aiden in the picture the possibility of that happening was nearly doubled. As for being on the clock twenty four seven, well Aiden didn't have a clue. I man the guy had hardly worked a full day in his life, let alone do it around the clock. Could you picture it? With his personality it was probable that if, stuck in a job like the maid's, the guy would end up going totally postal and toss himself out into the sun. Ugh, what a way to go too , ashes fluttering in the air and . . wait a second, how'd we end up going from Aiden's fantasy land to this again? Oh, right, the maid.

When it came to living in fantasies Aiden definitely held the top of the list, because honestly, it was too bloody tempting not to live in his own little fantasy land. Seriously. In reality Aiden was hiding out here at the inn to not only torment his sister, but also to hide from the dysfunctional lot of people who insisted they were his family and if that wasn't torture enough then a slew of ex's would take care of that. Oh yes, when compared to the reality of the situation Aiden preferred fantasy like any normal person would.

Hmm . . Where to meet her at. Aiden had already thought of the 'when' and the 'what I'm going to do to her when I get her alone' but the 'where' part of the situation was something he hadn't thought of! Leaning forward on the desk, his hands absently reached out for the first thing they could get a hold of - a stapler - and began fiddling with it as he thought. He'd lived around this place for a while now and frankly there were people tramping around it day and night, including the people who worked there! Aiden had nearly jumped out of his bleeding skin the night he ran into that cooking elf of his sister's in the lounge. Bleeding hell, he was a vampire and had a reason to prowl the night so what the hell was that guy doing up at 3 in the morning!? He'd never gotten a straight answer outta the guy either. Just a bunch of moaning and unintelligible words. If Aiden remembered the next time he saw her he was definitely telling Epiphany about that one. Stupid elves, trying to pretend they belonged in the dark . .

Back to the problem at hand, however, where in the world was a good place to meet around here without being interrupted? There was his room, but the evening was supposed to end there, not start there. How cheesy was that? Hmm . . Click, click, click. As the thought he had taken to idly flipping the stapler open and closed in his hands until suddenly it thunked back onto the desk. He got it! Looking up, he flashed the maid a wide grin with fangs and all, "The gardens behind the inn." It was so perfect Aiden couldn't believe he hadn't thought of it sooner. There was plenty of pricey out there and plenty of shadows to lure her in to . . .

As for her question about the dress code? "There isn't one. Wear whatever you wish." Aiden wasn't picky, though it was kind of hard to be picky when you dressed to contrasting schemes. From the blinding white of the Caribbean vampire to the black of the Prince of darkness, Aiden had it covered and since they were meeting in the dark it probably wouldn't take much to figure out what he'd be wearing.

And as far as the girl went? Aiden was fervently hoping she wouldn't be brought along, because if she was . . well, let's just say Aiden might end up doing more than cutting her pretty chipped nails . . .

Tripled when you have a good girl that very well could be ready to go bad. Being good all the time got tiring, and occasionally the bad girl that lived inside of every good girl, needed to get out. And just maybe the man behind the counter would be the one that brought that side out, she had been sleeping for a while, now. A lot of people couldn't handle other jobs, its why they did not do them, though it was always good to kick off a little steam here and there.

She had a few fantasy's of her own, but she wasn't going to explore and set them out for a stranger, especially one she was just getting to know. One that she might just get to know a bit better once they met up this evening, after dinner, for desert. Hm...now that was something that could cause fantasy thoughts, deserts.

Gaze watched as he fumbled and played with the stapler, had she said something wrong, she was thinking of perhaps taking back her words. She wouldn't meet him tonight, she did not need to bring trouble to herself on her first night there, she would let him off the hook. Fingers pressed against the ribbon of her apron again, straightening it. Her mouth started to open, for she didn't know that he planned the what and the hoping to get her alone, but then he moved and she stopped. He was getting so playful with that stapler she was thinking he was looking of a way to break it to the maid easily that something came up. She could handle that. But then he had a place. "That should be easy enough to find. If something comes up I will understand." Things happen.

Now he said no dress code and that was a good thing. Because she did not know how long she was going to have to get ready and she still had to unpack. Time had passed and she would look back to the man at the desk. Her gaze had looked down a moment to the floor before lifting upwards. "I will see you at ten in the garden behind the inn." She hoped she had the information right. Once she got some sort of confirmation she would slip off and up the steps to find the room that she would be occupying with her young charge.

The girl, Natasha, would not be caught dead out of her rooms tonight, she had many things to do. In fact she would probably send the maid down to bring her up some food for her room when she was hungry and that would be it, if she chose to even eat. Part of her tantrum was not to eat, even though the only person it hurt was herself, she was slowly learning those things.

If there was a good girl ready to go bad then Aiden was the guy ready to help! It could be a bit biased on his side, considering he thought of himself as 'bad' but hey, whether or not he could actually bring out someone else's bad side, he was sure going to have fun trying!

And as for exploring fantasies with a stranger: why not? It could even be easier to do - put your faith in a stranger for things that you know you couldn't ask anyone who actually knew you to do. There were a lot of people who would hold with that opinion, Aiden being one of them. True, it was more fun to live out your fantasies with the person or persons you're having fantasies about, but when that option just isn't available then a stranger starts looking better and better. Besides, what's the odds of running into that stranger again unless you happened to be staying at the same inn as they were?

If she thought Aiden was getting playful with the stapler she would really be in for a treat later. Call a quirk of humanity or what-have-you but Aiden was one of those people who fiddled with things as they thought. It was an unconscious motion and one he really didn't know he'd be performing until afterwards when he found whatever object he'd been near in his hands. It was also something that could cause one hellauva embarrassing moment, but we'll let you think on that one.

"I'll be there." The fiddling with the stapler had stopped and he fixed the maid with a serious look. When he said things like that he meant them, even if the way he played with things appeared otherwise. Aiden was not the kind of guy to go through the things he did not to show up. "The garden is through that door over there." He turned and pointed towards the door past the bar, that lead outside. Now that she had directions of sort he hoped she would come.

After she left Aiden stayed behind the desk there for a moment or two, artfully arranging the things on the top of the desk into a gigantic smiley face. Who knew the guy had an artist side to him? Well, one actually, but that was a story for another day. Besides, there were worse things he could be making or drawing on that desk than a smiley face. The she-wolf could consider herself lucky that he didn't feel like being an asshole at the moment. After he was finished and had stuck a post-it-note with the words "I WUZ HERE!" in the middle of the mess for good measure he headed towards the bar. He needed a drink . . .
