Loaning {hopefully} out my boy ... ((Closed))

Post by Sacher Masoch on Wed Feb 12, 2014 7:24 am

Sacher left the manor of Stry and returned to his hidden location.  He had things to think over.  Stry wanted his boy.  He had just acquired the lad, and already he was wanted by another.  What to do, what to do?  Well, there were definitely some things he needed to take care of before the boy, Juan wasn't it? Yes, Stry called him Juan Rodriguez.  He needed to take care of some things for young Juan before he could send him out into the cold, cruel world to be at the mercy of others.  Besides, wouldn't want the boy to forget who first helped him out in this new place.  It would be good for him to remember who to 'come home' to if and when Stry let him go.

A quick check of the time, and the sky, showed that he had time to make it to New Haven to take care of some things.  But it wouldn't be until the next night that he would be able to meet up with the boy again.  Sacher hoped he had a roof over his head for the night.  It wouldn't do for him to die the night before he could get his gifts, his pay, and his next assignment.

Sacher pulled up to the Tel'Ranaemyn Inn.  He headed to the back of the stables, where he had previously met up with the boy.  Just as he planned, the boy was there.  "Did you make your delivery last night?"  He walked over and leaned against the side of the stables crossing his arms over his chest and his left ankle over his right.  He waited for the boy to answer his question before he continued.

Speedy looked up from where he was squatted down pettin Gonz.  "Yeah, I did.  The boxes is in her room.  She wasn't there."  He stood up an looked down at Gonz for a second.  Gonz laid down at his feet like he was sposed t.

He stood there wit his hands in the front pocket on his hoodie.  "Do I get paid now or do I gotta wait for the chica t come runnin t you t thank you for her presents?" He still had some coin from before, but he din't know how much stuff cost an he din't wanna go broke an not be able t get his grub on.

Sacher nodded as he reached into his pocket of his tight black jeans.  "Of course, here you go." He handed the coins over to the young man.  "I have more if you would like to go and grab a drink and talk.  I figured you needed a few things and I need to talk with you about something as well."   He motioned with his hand towards the driveway of the Inn.

Leading the way, Sacher strolled back to the vehicle he had arrived at the Inn in.  It was a black Toyota GT 86 made in the Earth year of two thousand and thirteen.  He hit the button on the keys and got into the driver side.  The passenger side was unlocked for the young man. He only motioned to the back seat at the mention of the dog.

Once they were on the road, Sacher spoke again.  "So, Juan is it?  Do you drive?" He waited for the young man to respond. "I picked this up last night.  It has a 2.0-liter Subaru flat-four with Toyota’s combination direct-and-port injection. It will make 200 hp at 7000 rpm and 151 lb-ft of torque at 6600 rpm using premium fuel. The engine has a 12.5:1 compression ratio and is square, with bore and stroke both measuring 86.0 mm. I picked a short-throw manual transmission. A limited-slip differential was standard, as well as the 17-inch wheels. So what do you think?"   Sacher had thought it the best sports car he could find.

Speedy took the coins from the dude.  "Thanks."  He still wan't too sure bout this guy.  But at least he paid like promised.  He slipped the coins in his pocket.  "Yea, sure.  A drink works.  Wait, I needed some things?"  He had no idea what the guy was talkin bout.

He followed the guy t the car, Gonz was right b'side him like he was sposed t be.  He saw the car and jogged over t it.  "This car is sick yo!"  He ran his hand over the hood not really touchin it.  "Hey, I gots my pup.  I don want him t mess up yo ride.  You sure you wan us in it?"  He looked in the window on the passenger door as he talked.

The guy din't say nothin, just got in.  So Speedy opened the door an put the seat forward.  "Yo, Gonz, load up boy." Gonz hopped int the back seat and looked at Speedy like he was scared t get on the seat.  But the floorboard wasn't all that big.  So he slowly crawled up int the one empty seat.  The other had stuff in it.

Speedy put the seat back an sat down in the seat all careful like.  He slipped on his seatbelt.  He din't usually bother with one, but he'd never ridden wit this dude b'fore.  He sat real still like he din't wanna touch not'in.

When the dude started talkin, Speedy looked at him.  "Yeah, well, Speedy.  I don go by Juan.  That's my pops. 'Course I drive yo. Gotsta be able t hit those gears t survive in da hood."  Then he listened t the dude talk about the specs of his ride.  When he was done braggin, Speedy looked back at him.  He'd been checkin out the ride, the dash and what not.  "Sweet ride.  I bet it set you back a chunk a coin."  He was seriously poppin over the car.

Sacher nodded as he pulled into a parking spot at a Tavern.  They had gotten to New Haven rather quickly in the car.  " Well, your father is not here, is he?  I think you're safe to use Juan.  At least when it comes to business."  He opened the door and got out of the car.  "Gonz is allowed inside." He waited for the pair for just a moment before heading into the Tavern.

Once inside, Sacher moved to the bar.  He ordered a blood, or bloodwine, for himself and an ale for young Juan.  Then he moved toward a table, presuming that Juan and Gonz were going to be right behind him.  He found a seat and waited for his companions and for the wench who would be bringing their drinks.

Speedy was far enough b'hind the dude that he din't hear what he'd ordered fo drinks.  And he was so busy lookin at all the other peeps in the bar that he'd almost lost him in the crowd.  He saw some dude sittin at a table with a chica, they both was wearin wings, but it looked like the wings was a part of em or sometin.  There was a dude in the corner, dressed in black an purple, talkin t some blonde chica who was twirlin her hair round her finger.  Dude was drinkin some thick azz red wine.  Two big ol hairy dudes was in the back a the room arm wrestlin.  They was huge.

Speedy an Gonz wound through the peeps, tryin not t stair at no one.  They found the booth that the dude had sat in.  Speedy slid in across from the dude and Gonz crawled under the table an laid down.  "Where we at yo?  This place be kinda creepy."  He wan't talkin too loud.  He din't want no one t hear him an like get all up in his grill or not'in.

Sacher cleared his throat before answering young Juan's question. "We are at a local Tavern called The Dark Spot.  I figured it would be nice and quiet here so we could talk in private." He looked to see if the wench was coming yet.

She was, in fact, making her way to the table.  She set the two mugs down.  One contained blood, the other an amber ale.  "Oh, you have a puppy with you.  Let me get him a bowl of water.  Anyone hungry?"  She pulled a small tablet from her apron along with a pen.

Sacher smiled.  "I am fine, thank you.  Perhaps you would like something Juan?  And maybe some table scraps for Gonz?"  His smile never faltered and his eyes never left the young wench.  She looked to be all of perhaps twenty Earth years, not much more.  Long brown hair in loose waves of curl flowed down her back to her waist.  She had the most delicious looking chocolate brown eyes and the most pale and smooth skin.  Sacher couldn't help but wonder what she would taste like.

Speedy din't have nothin t say bout the name a the Tavern.  An b'fore he could ask anythin else, the waitress was there wit their drinks.  He picked up his mug an was 'bout t take a swallow from it when the dude asked if he wanted anythin t eat.  "Oh, uh, yeah.  You got cheese burgers an fries here?  Chili cheese fries maybe? An table scraps is fine fo my pup.  No potatoes though, he won't eat em.  Just meat an veggies." He set his mug down so he could reach under the table an pet his pup.

He saw the way the dude was lookin at the waitress an the way she was lookin back at him.  Speedy figured they thought each other was cute or somthin.  Gonz got his attention by slappin his leg wit his paw.  Speedy leaned to the side t give the pup some better attention.

Sacher took his attention from the serving wench and looked to Juan.  He was ordering food after all.  It's always polite to look to the one who is speaking.

The wench looked to the boy too.  After all, she was the one he was speaking to.  She listened to his request.  When he was finished, she replied to him.  "We can ground steak and make it into a patty and put it on a roll with some cheese.  And we also have potatoes.  So we could slice them and fry them in grease. We have a meat and bean gravy that's kind of spicy. We can add that, and some cheese, to the top of the potatoes.  Is that close enough?"  She had heard that the things she described were close to what he had ordered.  Though she had never tried any of them herself.  "You want lettuce and tomato and all that stuff on that meat patty?"  She had seen all kinds of things put on it.  But there were what people called 'the standards', and she knew what they were.

Sacher smiled again.  "I think those would do just fine.  Unless you would prefer something different Juan?"  He kept that charming smile upon his face for the wench.  When he was done with his business, he would find a way to get to know this wench a little better.

Speedy smiled an tried not t laugh.  "Yeah, that sounds perfect. All the way."  He still han't had a chance t take a dink a his drink.  But he was thinkin he was gunna need one if the waitress din't leave the table soon.  He was 'bout t bust up.

He picked up the mug that was in front a him an took a drink.  He started t choke and stuff.  He felt like he was gunna spew.  He'd ne'er tasted anythin so nasty.  "Yo, what is this?"  He set the mug down an wiped his mouth with the back a his hand. Then he stuck his tongue out an shook his head.

Sacher nodded to the serving wench and she walked away.  He then looked to Juan with a slight curl to his lips.  "It's ale.  I take it you would prefer something else to drink?"  He then proceeded to pick up his own drink and take a sip.  He was careful to not get any of the blood on his lips.  It was cold, but then again, he did not posses his mother's ability to warm drinks with his bare hands.

Setting his drink down on the table again, he looked over at young Juan.  "So, Juan, how are you getting along here in Rhy'Din so far?"  There was business to discuss, but pleasantries needed to be observed.  After all, he wanted something from the boy.  He needed to at least pretend that he cared for his well being.
